How can I find freight class or freight density?
Freight Class: Freight class refers to commodity classification. Most carriers follow the system of the National Motor Freight Traffic Association (NMFC). If you are not already familiar with how to determine the freight class, we can help you determine the freight class for your shipment.
Density: Freight density measures how heavy a package is relative to the size of the package, and is often necessary to determine freight class. A package with a high freight density weighs a lot relative to its size, and a package with a low freight density weighs little relative to its size. Use a density calculator to determine a shipment's density, or you can contact us to help you with this.
How can I avoid damage during shipping?
While items can get damaged during shipping, it is straightforward to limit the likelihood of damage by making sure your shipment is properly packed. Items should be securely packed in a way that some movement of the pallet/crate/box will not cause damage. If you have a particularly sensitive item or would like more information on proper packing, please contact us.
